Nobuko Yamasaki is a traditional Japanese woodblock printmaker from Osaka, Japan. She received her degree in graphic design from Seika University in Kyoto, Japan, after which she studied woodblock printmaking under Richard Steiner, who founded Kyoto International Mokuhanga school. Nobuko and her family moved to Michigan, where she continues to create artwork in a variety of media - drawing, painting, collage, origami, and of course, woodblock print.
